Gurur Devo Mahesh Varah(a)
Guru Shakshat Para Brahma (2x)
Tasmai Shri Guruve Namah(a) (3x)
“Hindu Prayer of respect to the Teacher: The Teacher is like Lord Brahma as he Generates knowledge within us, like Lord Vishnu as he Drives ideas and knowledge into our mind unto the right path, and like Lord Mahesha (Shiva) as he Destroys the ill-conceived ideas that come from our knowledge, while enlightening us and helping us stay on the right path."
To begin:
Stand with your feet together
Bring your palms together in prayer pose with the fingers pointing up.
Place your thumbs in the soft indent on the throat, by the vocal cords.
Take a few deep centering breaths, then begin.
To end:
Rub your palms together.
Cup them over the eyes, with the eyes closed.
Then float the hands down in front of you with the palms up.
Gently open the eyes and look into your palms.
Then relax the arms down by the sides.
