Album Notes

For the last 22 years Rene Russell has been entertaining audiences from the East Coast to the West Coast. A native of Columbia, SC, she has lived in Atlanta, Austin, and San Diego, and shared the stage with artists such as; The Indigo Girls, Danielle Howle, Michelle Malone, Tom Chapin, and Jennifer Nettles Band (better known as “Sugarland”) to name a few.

Rene is an accomplished 12-string guitarist with a unique finger picking style that is sure to catch your attention. Her voice has been described as “powerful, rich and clear with a sexy growl”.

Now residing in Mount Pleasant, near Charleston, SC, she has recorded 2 albums since 1990. Both were sold out and repressed several times totaling about 8000 copies all together. She is currently working on her 3rd CD.
