Album Notes

Renford (Rennie) Cogle, songwriter and arranger with the famous Reggae group, the Melodians, is the brainchild of Zircon Records Inc., established in 2009. Zircon Records Inc. was born out of the need to create accessibility to Cogle's music/songs. The Website promotes easier tracking of the music, allows for easy dissemination and, hopefully, will help to alleviate piracy from underground producers. In total, through the Website, this songwriter will be better able to have more control of his music/songs, allow clients to download songs of their choice, and will provide a broader means of communication to people worldwide. It will allow him to establish links with publishers, promoters and distributors, create the opportunity to recruit new artists and, overall, help to promote Reggae music.

Rennie has written famous songs such as Sweet Sensation, which was sung by the Melodians and UB40; Down Here In Babylon - Melodians; Survival - Marcia Griffiths; Struggling - Sharon Black; You Keep On Running - Delroy Wilson; and It’s My Delight - Melodians and UB40.
