Album Notes

The Repeats "T" 5 Inch Album Notes:

The fifth of six (limited edition) autographed colored CDs packaged in flying discs. What's a 5 Inch? We're glad you ask! Basically it's a 7 inch released on CD. For all you kids out there to young to remember. There was a time before iPods and iTunes when you couldn't wait to stick a needle in the groove of that 45 rpm virgin vinyl from "insert your very most favorite band here" just to hear the B side that wasn't being played on the radio. So we thought hey, lets put some fun back into being a fan! We've decided to release six of these so called 5 inches. Each one a different color, autographed and packaged in flying discs. Oh yeah we almost forgot the coolest part, the interior photo of each booklet will combine to create a full-sized poster.

The Repeats "T" 5 Inch Song Insights:

11. TURN THE RADIO DOWN 1:37
Isn’t it funny how we need to... just to parallel park?

12. SCREEN SAVER 2:00
An infinity of shooting stars to wish upon.

The Repeats Story:

Some of the more refreshing entertainment to come out of Minneapolis since The Mary Tyler
Moore Show. With sharp musical contrast, bright harmonies and a tint of glam. Their songs
are like listening to two minute power pop episodes of Seinfeld without those funky bass
interludes.

Meet The Repeats:

Brian Eggen plays bass and sings backup vocals
Paul Kraft plays drums and sings backup vocals
Al Paul sings and plays guitar

Lyrics:

TURN THE RADIO DOWN:

I turn the radio down
Now I can hear myself think
While trying to parallel park
I look behind my trunk before I hoodwink

The smell of your breath off my mind
That after dinner mint scent before a glass of wine

I turn the radio down
Now I can hear myself think
Still trying to parallel park
I guess that I’m to drunk to even drink

The taste of your tongue off my mind
Those fresh wet licked lips pressing mine

I turn the radio

I slap the sight of your smile off my mind
That grin fell between those cracks you called beauty lines

I turn the radio

SCREEN SAVER:

Staring at the stars on your screen saver
That lack luster with even less flavor
Though you could taste them all
And lick them right where they fall

Or make a wish on one
Before it ever burns your tongue

Picking at the scars I left
On the right side of your desk

You could knock right on top
Of simulated wood grain for luck

You could double cross your heart and hope to die in your sleep
Or better yet shove a needle through everybody’s eyes and deep
Whose ever said to you that true love is blind
And then laugh like hell because they cant use their eyes
