Album Notes

Regarded as one of the pioneering bands of the electro-industrial scene Front Line Assembly have had a profound influence on many artists. Replicate 01 is the first album to pay homage to the influential act. The album consists of tracks recorded by artists from the Mindphaser on-line community, who have sweated and toiled to bring you renditions of some of their favourite Front Line Assembly tracks. Some well known, others more obscure but all showing the way in which Front Line Assembly have influenced a generation of acts.

Although there are a few names that maybe familiar to those with knowledge of the Electro-Industrial underground for most of the artists involved it is the first time they have had a track commercially released. Therefore the album not only acts as a tribute to a highly regarded band but also as a springboard for some new talented artists to make their debuts in the world outside their bedroom studios.

“Replicate 01” is also a trans-Atlantic adventure with artists from the US (Scribe Machine & Such) and Canada (Thoughtcrime & Mark R) battling with their European friends from Sweden (The Pain Machinery & Maskfoder), Holland (G-Gap), Germany (C8K and 21st Century Jesus) and the UK (K-Nitrate and Mantizza) to produce unique covers that often move the songs in different and unexpected directions from the originals. Everything from EBM to IDM is touched upon by the artists on Replicate 01
