“Historic. A new band composed of three of L.A.’s finest singer-songwriters. It was as if these three had been born for this moment, such was the chemistry emanating from the stage. The Rescues have everything they need to become the leaders in a musical revolution.”
-Music Connection
“Unforgettable. The first Indie Supergroup. Fleetwood Mac with harmonies like Crosby Stills and Nash and the edginess of Concrete Blonde. The Rescues may be brand new, but have shown that they are at a level above everything else on the L.A. music scene.”
-Easy Reader
“Pure musical bliss. Imagine a singer-songwriter with powerhouse vocals, poignant songwriting and instrumental mastery. Now multiply it times three.”

The Rescues are Kyler England (North Carolina), Gabriel Mann (Texas) and Adrianne (Florida). Each is named among Music Connection’s “Hot 100 Unsigned Artists of 2007.” Kyler and Adrianne met while at Berklee College Of Music and both eventually relocated to Los Angeles. There they encountered Gabe while all were playing on a vibrant scene that revolves around the Hotel Café music venue in Hollywood. Friends, collaborators and occasional tour-mates for years, it took a marriage to bring about their union as The Rescues on May 12th, 2007. A former music executive who had been a fan of all three artists asked them to form a group to play a concert at his wedding. It was an auspicious first show. Far from a “club date,” an amphitheater was built to house the band and the Mayor of Los Angeles came to introduce them to a seated audience of 200. The synergy was explosive from the start.
Individually they have toured all 50 states and Europe, both on their own and sharing the stage with major acts like Alanis Morrissette, Sting, Avril Lavigne, The Rolling Stones, Kelly Clarkson, Gavin Degraw, Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, Annie Lennox and many others. They have played major events and festivals including The Sundance Film Festival. SXSW, CMJ, The Toronto Film Festival, V Festival in England, and the Bele Chere Festival.
They have released more than 10 independent records. They own four recording studios between them (three in Los Angeles and one in Atlanta) and have produced albums for such artists as Sara Bareilles, Naimee Coleman and others.
They have either won or been finalists in such songwriting competitions as The John Lennon Songwriting Competition (current finalist), The USA Songwriting Competition (top honor), The International Songwriting Competition (finalist), The Just Plain Folk Award (finalist), The Unisong International Songwriting Contest (top honor), The Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Competition (top honor) and The North Carolina Songwriting Competition (top honor).
They have written successfully in Nashville with many of that city’s top writers and publishers, having had songs placed on hold for upcoming records by major artists including Carrie Underwood. They have all received numerous television song placements including Arrested Development, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Men In Trees, Guiding Light, What About Brian, Zoey 101, Road Rules and many others.
Together as The Rescues they have toured the Southeast, recorded an EP and their forthcoming debut full-length CD “Crazy Ever After.” They have had songs placed in the Wong Kar Wai film “My Blueberry Nights” and the Neil Burger film “The Lucky Ones.” They recorded a cover of Eric Carmen’s “All By Myself” which is featured prominently in the hit film “Superhero Movie” and recorded their own version of Oingo Boingo’s “Dead Man’s Party” for use in trailers for the animated feature “Igor.”
They’ve been selected by Myspace to be featured for one week in the Myspace Records Spotlight in conjunction with their album release.
And they continue to play for the Mayor, having performed for him several more times including recently at a private party at the Mayor’s Mansion. As Gabe put it, “I see the Mayor more than my parents!”
The Rescues want to awaken a dormant L.A. tradition (exemplified by bands like The Eagles) of the best of the music scene joining together to make something greater than themselves. Like pups from a shelter, these Rescues have found their home in each other.
