Album Notes

The Resistance emerged in early 2009 with musical influences ranging from Death Cab for Cutie, Coldplay, U2 and Radiohead. This indie-rock powerhouse is comprised of four seasoned musicians from the local scene bringing together a different, yet powerful mix of musical styles and genres.

Despite their short time together, The Resistance has built a loyal following that has described them as an indie band that incorporates a wide-range of styles into their music... simple, yet refined guitars with melodic undertones and a warm texture, high energy driving beats to ballad songs with a sprinkle of indie rock riffs, compassionate vocals with a soft voice but an occasional loud declaration of presence and a solid low end bass guitar that gives a rich depth to the overall sound.

The band is currently working on their second EP which is expected to be released in the summer of 2011.
