Resonator's unique combination of accordion and synthesizer: analog and digital elements, Nu-Folk made for dancing, sparkling electronics, gypsy-melancholia driven by kinetic beats, make “Trust” an instrumental poetry-book for the 21st century.

On their second album the duo Resonator again relies on the combination of accordion and synthesizer: analog and digital elements, Nu-Folk made for dancing, sparkling electronics, gypsy-melancholia and kinetic beats packed in. These elements make “Trust” an instrumental poetry-book. Like its precursor “Red Room Diner”, this new interpretation of like-able manmachinemusic by Anja Kreysing (accordion) and Kai Niggemann (electronics) undeniably features some filmic qualities. Close your eyes and feast your ears!
Testimonials:
"Great stuff! Resonator have a wonderful approach to sound, color and drama. I especially enjoyed the electronic contributions to the recording."
Jeffrey Zeigler, KRONOS Quartett
“It requires undivided attention: Akkordeon-Ambient? Folk-House? I have no idea. But if you have even the smallest inclination for even slightly deviant music, you can’t afford to miss Resonator’s “Trust”. Shocking! I am a fan!”
– Christian Kock, GIG magazine May 2011
“A wildly bold mixture... Hardly the soundtrack for cuddling up, but absolutely appropriate for stimulating associations. Unsettling at times (“hora”), often travel-history (“la nostalgia” or “korkein voitto”) and also melancholic (“velvet velocity”), they don’t even shy away from a waltz (“white horses”). In case the listener drifts off too far into romantic territory from Anja Kreysing’s accordeon, Kai Niggemann comes straddling with his electronic sound. That may be jarring, but makes the CD exciting. “Trust” is definitely the opposite of boring.”
— Westfälische Nachrichten, Münster
