RESURRECTION EVE'S ANCIENT CURSE IS INCREDIBLE
Resurrection Eve's Ancient Curse brings in over an hours worth of music that blows my mind away. The vocals and the music are filled with originality in my view. The programming, the keyboards, and the guitars have awesome vibes and ideas that shine with every song. Incredibly different and changing yet listening friendly to these ears.
The band's debut is beautiful, haunting, dark, devilish and very spooky. The opener Forever has fantastic keyboard to guitar solo playing that take you on a journey of loss, despair and wonder. In Flames (my personal favourite) is like a song out of the dark tomb. This song makes me think about the cover artwork with the strange statue binded by not an arm. Dark, bone chilling vocals and sound. Wish progressively changes into driving vocals and Ancient Curse has touched my heart for I have lost sight of a girl that I love and if I find her again I wonder will it destroy me. A song for those who want someone badly but can't have that person.
Tears of Blood is probably the most put together. Its an epic tale that talks of lies and love, rhythmic drums and incredible guitar work here with a very cool ending. Time to Play reminds me of a giant beast coming into town ready to take on another in a great battle. Death, destruction, pulsation - just a whole galore of awesome effects - very devilish and demonic.
From the funeralistic echoes of Remains to the dark romantic fairy tale like Rupunsel, Ancient Curse is definitely a must have and a ground breaking experience. Delve into the world of Resurrection Eve and you will never look back. All I know is I'm a fan and I'm grabbing their next album. And one more thing, the artwork is cool - very creative!

Resurrection Eve
Ancient Curse
Bloodmusic
Welcome to the world of Bloodmusic and the latest recording of Resurrection Eve's Ancient Curse. Resurrection Eve is an outstanding gothic band from Australia with dark haunting electronics that will immediately make this
band a classic. The music lurks your into the dark corners and spins you around. The CD showcases 11 stunning tracks pushing the limits of gothic music with such tracks as 'In Flames' with more gothic industrial sounds combining dark vocals and heavy guitar at times, which makes this a favorite of mine. The electronics are erie whirling synthlines that create this gloomy atmosphere. Another song that really stands out to me is a song called 'Wish'. I loved this song for the blend of gothic and techno beats.
It is totally incredible sound that is done very well. This CD has something for everyone, and not to often is there a CD that I can listen to every song and like and I that happened on this CD. With a diverse mix from sounds
crossing Depeche Mode , Ikon to 80's style goth Anicent Curse leaves you with a dark feeling. Overall this is an experience your won't forget with dynamic songs like 'Cliche', which is a slower paced song that leaves an
emotional impact on the listener.

'Ancient Curse', the debut album from Melbourne band Resurrection Eve, is simply one of the best independednt releases of the year.
In trying to describe the music, phrases like 'hauntingly beautiful' and 'majestic' spring to mind- there is something sublime about this CD.
Love, sadness and anguish are all expressed with simple poetry as the album moves gracefully from acoustic sounds to dancebeats without faltering once. There are no weak points to this release- even the artwork is gorgeous.
Fitting generally into the dark/alternative category, Resurrection Eve present a unique and refreshing sound which is bound not only to be popular with the fans, but influential on bands to come.

BIO:
Resurrection Eve are an Australian Gothic Industrial Pop band.
Resurrection Eve's music is derived from a myriad of influences spanning the last two decades ranging from The Cure, Depeche Mode and New Order, to VNV Nation, Suspiria and Rammstein.
Resurrection Eve released their debut album 'Ancient Curse' in November 2000. The title track is featured on the latest Nightbreed compilation and you can hear selected tracks on the Bloodmusic internet site (http://www.geocities.com/darkan_band/).
The band's commitment to producing music that opens the mind and touches the heart is evident in their latest track 'Zen' from the forthcoming album 'Rapture' (due for release in 2002).
Resurrection Eve's live performance is one of sound, light, colour and movement delivered with both grace and anguish that transports you to another world. The ensuing crowd fades away and leaves you standing on the precipice, not knowing if you're going to fall to the blackness below or sore gracefully, uplifted and exhilarated, to the dazzling, transcendental light above!
The band consists of:
MARK - Keyboards and programming. Mark is a classically trained pianist, live drummer and talented programmer/sequencer. He is the driving force behind the music of Resurrection Eve and the base from which the songs are built.
JORDAN - Vocals. Jordan's vocals are undeniably the finishing touches to Resurrection Eve's haunting Gothic/Pop/Electro/Industrial sound. His large vocal range and ability to find the melody in Mark's music inspires the band to write new material that utilises and expands his vocal ability.
TYSON - Guitar. Tyson's guitar playing adds melody and interest to the music that Mark creates and forms a symbiotic partnership that is the benchmark of Resurrection Eve's music. Tyson's creative guitar lines are often the spark of inspiration for Jordan's melodic vocals.
