RETCHING RED is a Bay Area hardcore punk band that formed in August 2004. The band immediately started playing mass shows with great bands such as DR. KNOW, OPPRESSED LOGIC, UK SUBS, BEERZONE, NAKED AGGRESSION, DISCHARGE, MURDER JUNKIES, DOA, FANG, CH3, AGENT ORANGE, INSAINTS, DINAH CANCER, MDC (10 day tour), VERBAL ABUSE, POISON IDEA and many others. The band has completed a 4 week US tour in July 2005, a month long European tour April 2006, and a 6 week US tour July/August 2006.
RETCHING RED members are no amateurs at this game.
Female vocalist CINDER BLOCK is formerly from the world renowned punk band TILT, among many others since 1983. She also sang in FABULOUS DISASTER for a 6 month stint in 2003. Cinder holds no prisoners in this band and she's pissed!
Bassist CYCO LOCO also sings in the long lasting notorious OPPRESSED LOGIC and has been in a fuckload of bands since 1986.
ADAM GRANT is on drums and was stolen from the band CREEPY and also the current drummer in OPPRESSED LOGIC.
JAKE DUDLEY is the ripping young blood guitarist from SECOND OPINION and also plays in OPPRESSED LOGIC.
RETCHING RED debut CD "Get Your Red Wings and brand new CD "SCARLET WHORE OF WAR" will both kick your ass and make it bleed!!

Awesome music, great lyrics

This will definitely leave you wanting more. All the songs are as catchy as hepatitis A but way more enjoyable.
"Blue Kid Trapped In A Red State" is more addictive than Heroin.
Great CD!!!

Cinder Block’s snotty vocals crank & the recording is perfect.

Here’s another great punk/hardcore record coming your way from Retching Red. This disc just doesn’t let up with the music, 14 tracks in all. Practically every song is a million miles a hour hardcore. The musicianship is solid and tight, Cinder Block’s snotty (I mean really snotty!) vocals crank & the recording is perfect. Lyrically, a political & personal style throughout. The cover is well done, warheads will not like it. I’ll be jamming this one a lot and will do my best to see them when they play Atlanta in July.
