Album Notes

Retrolust is two-man group dedicated to a rebirth of 80's synth-pop through a fusion of modern electronic and industrial music.

Retrolust stands apart from the crowd with their pure mix of atmospheric swirling synthesizers, industrial noises, smooth beats and ground shattering hooks.

The two members of Retrolust (Garrett Kai and Trevor Denounce) met in 2006 on an online music-posting site. Upon hearing each other's music the two decided to collaborate. After the completion of their first song together they discovered a sound, method and purpose that would be the basis for Retrolust.

Since then, the two have evolved from solo-songwriters into a coherent song-producing machine. Their vastly different musical styles has molded together to form a whole new sound. With their strong sonic arsenal the two quickly found themselves amongst piles of material.

In June of 2007, Retrolust released "BAD RECEPTION", a 10-song album focused on themes of Love, Confusion and Anxiety. The CD is for sale on CDBaby.com and iTunes. (http://cdbaby.com/cd/retrolust)

In October of 2007 Retrolust released "PUMP IT", an 11-song album focused on Broken Hearts and Sexual Dysfunction on the Open Highway. The CD is for sale on CDBaby.com and iTunes.

Retrolust have crafted a wonderful album. "House of Fallen Saints" is one of the bests, as well as "Lover's Tree". It calls to mind all the best thing about early '80's music, then triples it. Make sure to get "Pump It" and "Bad Reception" to keep the great feeling going.

I love 80's pop synth done right. This is the third album of Retrolust that I've heard, and it still maintains a razor sharp, arrow straight focus. Artwork is typically good, and I like the touch of that little sticker with the brand. I want more, and I know they got it.
