Album Notes

For a study of mission, the Church often focuses on the book of Acts and the letters of St Paul. This series of lectures focuses on what Jesus himself had to say about the mission on which he was sent and on which he sent the disciples. The lectures open with the vision of the prophet Isaiah and the Great Commission of Matthew 28. Mission in Luke’s gospel is dealt with, as is the topic of keeping together the themes of Evangelism, Justice and Compassion. The tasks of ‘going out’ and of ‘attracting others in’ are examined with care. The need to cross borders beyond our own culture is examined Dr. Bailey concludes with a series of ‘theological flowers’ that he discovered in scripture while living in the midst of a series of Middle Eastern wars.

Jesus and His Vision of Missions (8 lectures)
author: Thyge Enevoldsen
I cannot really express my gratitude for having had this opportunity to sit at rev. Baileys feet once again listening to the words of our Lord Jesus. Such a purification of the Gospel it has been. I will never forget back in 1999 - in Aarhus Denmark - where rev. Bailey gave lectures in Luke 15. God used these lectures to change my life and to confirm my service. From time to time this change and confirmation is renewed also through the teachings in K.E.Baileys biblical CD-lectures. Thanks to Bailey and thanks to CD Baby :-)
