The \"We Will Meet Again\" project, featuring the Rev. Dr. Stephen Tyrone Thornton Memorial Mass Choir, is a musical tribute to the life and legacy of one of an anointed singer, choir director, mentor, pastor, husband, father and friend. The choir, which bears his name, was organized through the efforts of family and friends and some of the most anointed participants worldwide after Rev. Thornton\'s life ended tragically on October 21, 2002 as a result of a horrific traffic accident.
In an effort to continue Rev. Thornton\'s dream of providing financial breakthroughs and destroying educational barriers for youth, proceeds from this musical project go to fund the Thornton Scholarship Foundation. Professionally recorded, this project showcases the contributions of numerous nationally-recognized and gifted voices. The \"We Will Meet Again\" project features all original, divinely-inspired tracks which were written by Rev. Thornton\'s older brother, Kenneth Thornton. Additionally, partners on this project highlight the spiritually-enriched talents of some of the most talented and renowned musicians and lead vocalists in the country, including LaDonna Mole, former soloist with Rev. John P. Kee and New Life and Minister Nigel Andrews, featured soloist with James Bignon and Deliverance. Up and coming recording artists Minister Arnold Bullock and Elder Walter Johnson graced the album. Dion Owens and the Renaissance and The Promise also lent their musical expertise to the success of \"We Will Meet Again.\" Additionally, one of the greatest contributions and best kept secrets of the south are featured on the project . . . the band! Consisting of Cedric Thompson, Calvin Napper, Reggie Graves, \"Monty\" Robertson and \"Will\" Morrison, the band really played remarkably.
