Album Notes

ABOUT THE ARTIST

"Through Blood and Ashes" is the logically consequence of the successful The Revenge Project's debut from 2005. The band itself get feel very comfortable in the genre "Death Metal" and this can be felt quite well just from the first listen. Apart from the heavy sound almost 43 min long in this title, which is typical for such bands, there is one significant element that distinguish "The Revenge Project" from others and this is their own unique sounding, that you can recognize everytime when you listen to them. The main composing part in "Through Blood and Ashes" is creation of the both guitarists of the band - the virtuosos Deimoz and Staffa. The roar vocals are deed of the front man MaxPain and the rhythm section is act by Articorse (bass) и Kalhas (drums). Every track exhale might and certitude. With this powerful album "The Revenge Project" turn into on of the leading death metal bands in Bulgaria.

MUSIC QUOTES

The Revenge Project is a unique and highly creative band, and "Through Blood and Ashes" captures them in what is arguably their prime. This is music that is built on dissonance in a way that you can’t hear in every nook and comer. Singer, bassist, drummer and both songwriters – the guitar virtuosos Deimoz and Staffa are truly in a league of their own, disregarding every rule of music theory, and creating an album of music that is twisted and bizarre, but often catchy and inviting. There is an unharnessed aggression on this album that is brought out by the cold, distant production, demonstrating a strange paradox about the music -- it sounds spontaneous, but also complex and painstakingly crafted. This album will kick you into overdrive with it's wonderful display of fast-paced music and death-grunt style of vocals. It's great to see a very talented band that is more interested in playing a good song than trying to impress us with empty flash. A wonderful display of true understanding of Death Metal.
