Since 2009 the mojave desert based Reverend Red has built themselves a strong foundation through stories of old rural america and murder ballads for those who have been flavoring their liver with whiskey and resentment in a Western saloon. They have played in 14 states across the US and over 150 shows.
The people who make up the band Reverend Red are not only musicians but performers that create a musical experience and they demand your attention and participation. They bring theatrics to the stage and are not afraid to put themselves out there for the audience. Their shows have been described by the press as captivating and mesmerizing. They have seen a great amount of success on the road due to their live show and their fan growth and strong gig resume is proof of just that.
The band's sound is hard to put in a box, but the press has described them as Rockabilly, Country, Punk, Roots, Rock, and Americana and are usually accompanied by the words "Original" and "Enjoyable". These descriptions are all correct, as the band blends styles from each members significantly different background. This has opened many doors for the band to play with a variety of world class bands from a large spectrum of music genres. They have shared bills with bands such as Iggy and the Stooges, Slim Cessna's Auto Club, Goddamn Gallows, Bob Wayne, and many more.
The Reverend Red is out of Lancaster, CA which is located in Northern Los Angeles County, in the Mojave Desert.
