”Rev. John” – alias Jon Ultvedt – is Norway’s only and unique Blues ”Reverend”. With his bluesband he has toured Norway and held a lot of concerts in Bluesclubs as well as churches. Actually, for the time being, he gives more concerts in clubs and pubs than churches. The musicians in his band are among the most experienced in Norway. One of them, the guitar and harmonica player Trond Ytterbø, was awarded with the Annual “Blues Prize” in 2005 – at the famous Notodden Blues Festival. The same Trond Ytterbø is the leader of the band that has recorded with the Fleetwood Mac-legend Jeremy Spencer at his comeback album (2006).
Rev. John has a rough, bluesy voice. He plays the Hammond B3 and the piano, and has written most of the songs at his new album, “STRANGER”. Rev. John is also an experienced band leader.
