Album Notes

A four member band from Washington, DC has been performing regionally since 1992. Each of Rezin's band members bring their own unique playing style to the mix, and together have created a distinct hard rock sound that is apparent in all three of their full length CDs: Stanley (1998), Summer of the Brain Dead Everyone (2000), and Everything Happens (2004).

Rezin currently performs in the Mid-Atlantic area, eight to ten times a month in support of their existing (Stanley, Summer of the Braindead Everyone, Everything Happens) CD's. The CD's were produced by Frank Marchand, who has worked with acts such as The Toadies, Nothingface, The Breeders, Good Charlotte, Jimmie's Chicken Shack and Aaron Lewis of Staind. The latest release was mastered at Air Show Studios in Arlington, VA., by Grammy Award winner Charlie Pilzer.

Songs from all three releases have enjoyed frequent airplay on 98 Rock, DC101, WHFS 99.1, and WZBH The Beach. Rezin also appears on Music Monthly's "Music Monthly Music Volume I" compilation CD, as well as being chosen to be on an OASIS compilation CD. Among Rezin's various accomplishments are two awards from SAW's 15th Annual Mid-Atlantic Song Contest for Frank 1937 and Ride which are both featured in Stanley.

Rezin is comprised of Peter Swindler: guitar and vocals; Jon Blank: bass; Andy Hughes: guitar; and Matt Collazo: drums. Pete's strong, powerful voice brings the emotions in the songs alive, and his guitar playing compliments Andy's rhythmic blues based melodic overtones. Jon adds uniqueness to the band with his flowing bass lines; he's the glue between their individual stylistic differences that makes their music work and achieve such cohesion. Matt completes the sound of Rezin with his contagious, energetic, and aggressive style. Together they create an intense, emotional connection between the music, lyrics, and singing that is particularly evident in the live performances.

Singularly Jon, Matt, and Pete have been hired by numerous bands and studio engineers as session players.

With the CD receiving such rave reviews, Rezin is a band to watch for. As Unsung Hero put it," This is the stellar concussion of Baltimore's next generation as it refuels, explodes, and evolves."

Summer of the Braindead Everyone, in addition to be an amazing album title, is a slammin' aggregation of Rezin's distinctive sound. This album does a great job capturing the raw energy that Rezin offers in their live shows.

This is a great CD...reminiscent of Oleander (vocals) & Queens of the Stone Age. Songs are are different but blend together well. Lots of energy, lots of great hooks, & excellent vocals. Love the lyrics too. Highly recomended - one of my favorites!
