Rhiannon is a vocal artist with a vision of music as a vehicle for healing, transformation, and social change. From her stellar collaborations with Alive!, the all-women’s jazz ensemble to Bobby McFerrin and Voicestra to her ground breaking solo and ensemble performances, Rhiannon enthralls and inspires her audiences. “In My Prime”

“In My Prime” puts Rhiannon into the center of the music river. The title song, “In My Prime,” inspired in a rip tide on Kare Kare beach in New Zealand, is a song that declares the life force that makes Rhiannon so vital. There are also several rich, complex and vibrant songs co-written with bay area treasure Frank Martin, whose stunning arrangements of Joni Mitchell’s “Case of You” and the Lennon/McCartney classic “Blackbird” bring these songs to life in a brand new way. World class musicians - Alex Acuña, Abraham Laboriel, Will Kennedy, Dave Ellis and Mike Marshall among others, join with Rhiannon's family of musicians - David Worm, Joey Blake, Jami Sieber and Frank Martin. Braided through the CD are live improvisations by Rhiannon and Bobby McFerrin that defy gravity, recorded in a special duet session in Minneapolis. The utmost care and attention has been given to every aspect of the recording by Rhiannon and her production team.
