  • CD of a Lifetime

Much better than their "Home Cookin'". This is CD is a culmination of Danny Rhodes' life-time dedication to making music. Rare today, Danny Rhodes and the Messengers manage a full and perfect sound -- brilliant guitar work by Danny, great rhythm section, outstanding organ and horns, and funky background vocals -- music as lush and sensuous as the Louisiana swamps and bayous that surrounded much of Danny's early years before moving to Nashville and then Arizonia. This is music with energy and soul!

  • The real deal
author: Donald Gathers - Ithaca, NY

Whoa! This is the real funky-bluesy deal from start to finish. I haven't stopped listening to this disc since I bought it. Every track is wonderfully crafted, produced and performed. I can't wait to see these guys live when they're playing with Little Feat. This album recieves one of my very rare 5's. Congrats guys!
