Album Notes

Red Heart the Ticker is not from any planet other than Earth. For the Wicked, their first full length album, was recorded in a neighbor's timber frame barn in Southern Vermont (note cricket sounds on a song or two), and in a apartments in NYC and Boston. Their haunting and eclectic sound has been compared to the Innocence Mission, the Cowboy Junkies, Wilco, and Emmylou Harris. The album was produced by the band and put out on the home-spun Poorly Bird Records.

I love the variety provided by two singers taking turns on lead. Really nice. There are not many CD's my wife and I can both listen to, but this is one of them.
