Album Notes

Rhymz Suhreal
a surreal experience
in a so real existence

the existence

There is a sound that can be heard coming from every corner of the Earth. It can be found rumbling in the busy, concrete streets of New York, and whispering across farm fields of the Great Plains. It sings out above the nightly hum in the African Serengheti, and stands tall at noonday in the midst of crowded cities like Beijing, Cairo, London, and Los Angeles. It is the voice of human existence.

This voice, the sound of our shared human condition, unites us. No matter who you are, where you are, or what you are, we all share in this existence. It is with this substance in mind that two poets have come together, to translate this Living into music. This Language of Life is transmitted through different tools: boomboxes, car systems, discmans, and radio waves, but the message of Life's struggles, pain, victories, love, and hope remains the same. Those listeners that share in this common journey, from the cradle to the grave and beyond, hear the message. However, it's only decoded by those travelers who march along the path of life in this, a so real existence.

the experience

Since the existence is so real, then the experience is surreal. Humans throughout time have reached out to connect with the supernatural, to be a part of something larger than themselves. It is evidenced in monuments built, sacrifices laid on altars, time invested, and art inspired. This experience falls on the border that separates the earthly from the supernatural, the seen from the unseen, the everyday from the unbelievable. It's where the human meets the divine.
This mystical dimension of life plays out within the boundaries of our short time and space, which is our existence. It shows itself, when the questions that keep us awake at night have no answers. It comes to us, when there is no light ahead and all we see are tunnels. Yet it also arises, in the form of peace beyond reason in the midst of chaos, and faith in the face of turmoil. The surreal is at once hard to define, even to grasp, but it is all around us. It is the blind seeing, the deaf hearing, the lonely being cared for, the poor being truly rich, the haters loving, and the hated forgiving.
It is at this intersection, of Existence and Experience that Rhymz Suhreal has journeyed to. It's here at Ground Zero that you will find, The Real reminding us of the surreal, and The Surreal showing itself as real.

journey with us....

peace,
Rhymz Suhreal
