The Rhythm Child Network is a company devoted to the advancement of positive music for the next generation. Drum Circle Sing-A-Long marks the first release in a series of CD's and DVD's that promote the understanding and appreciation of rhythm based music as the foundation for child development.

Now you and your family can vocalize, harmonize, play a drum, or dance around to a collection of new and classic children's melodies layered with a unique combination of contemporary grooves and primal rhythms. Drum Circle Sing-A-Long allows you to celebrate the musical fullness of life with your children while playfully exploring your own sense of expression. The CD even includes a couple of instrumental tracks to encourage the creation of your family's own original songs.

The liner notes also list the various instruments used in each song to help identify the different layers of sounds that make up this upbeat blend of music.

Founded in April 2003, Rhythm Child is a company devoted to the advancement and promotion of positive music for the next generation. Rhythm Child encourages creative expression and cultural exploration through drum circle workshops, interactive music education classes and concerts. Rhythm Child enables children to incorporate music into their daily life and connects them with their own inner rhythms by creating an environment that promotes the power of music as a vehicle for building confidence, communicating positive messages and encouraging community building. Rhythm Child’s music merges primal grooves and classic children’s melodies into a unique collection of fresh themes that offer an alternative approach to the way children are being entertained.

Rhythm Child supplies an accessible way for individuals to exercise their freedom of expression while still remaining part of a larger group setting. Drummer Norm Jones is infectious with his grooves and the “free form” drumming approach encourages everyone to join in without any restrictions or rhythmic parameters. Throughout an event, activities are included that bring the participants even closer together and forms a bond that translates into everyone playing to the same beat.

Utilizing 20 years as a professional singer and performer, Rhythm Child concert performances are known for their soulful renditions of many children’s classics as well as Norm’s strong and playful delivery. The same rhythmic interaction is available within a class of 10 or a group of 3000. Rhythm Child is able to connect with an audience on the purest level and allow the natural joys of music and self expression to bang to the surface.
