Album Notes

Remember the band Rush? George Michael? Winger?

The Rhythm Merchant sounds nothing like those groups. At all.

Being really into Sublime, The Chili Peppers, Cake, The Slackers, and Toots and the Maytals, the styles of all of these groups can be heard on my CD, "Album #1: In the Pocket."

Being primarily a drummer, the songs generally have a very rhythmic, groovy feel. If this sounds pretty dope to you, check out the sound clips here on CD Baby.

Everything on this album (except for the cover of Max Romeo and Lee Perry's 1976 reggae tune, "Chase the Devil"), was written and performed by me. Although I play everything on the albums, I've assembled a live band to do some shows coinciding with the impending release of "Album #2: One Man, a Bass, Some Drums and a Mic", due in early September.
