The Rhythm of the Rann is a poetic journey exploring the traditional music of the Rann desert area in Gujarat, India.

The musicians on this CD come from a long lineage of an ancient musical tradition and play on authentic instruments, many of which were handcrafted by themselves.

Umesh Jadia is an enthusiast/collector who travels around villages near and far to document the traditional folk musicians of the region and bring them to the people of Gujarat as well as to the world.
