Rhythm Signal is a Dr. Jekyll - Mr. Hyde musical experiment that attempts to create a balance between the hypnotic and the chaotic.
Often referring to their two personalities as Trance Rock and Controlled Noise, Rhythm Signal mix improvised music with structured songs. The music styles range from simple tribal world music to complex progressive rock in opposition (RIO). Comparisons span a wide range of music including Tool, Pink Floyd, Mr. Bungle, King Crimson and many more.
This is the re-release of Rhythm Signal's original debut Ep now including a never before released bonus track with two new songs. All of these songs were spur of the moment improvisations (with the exception of the bass on P... M...) created by Jason Anderson (guitars, bass, keyboards, noises, screams, and screeches) and Thomas Fucik (percussion, boxes, children's toys, and a watering can).
Here is a sample of what's been said about "Unexpected Improv".
-"This stuff really grows on you. Every time I listen to S.B.S., I hear things I didn't before. It's amazing!" Stone - Katy, Texas
-"What the f**k is wrong with you people! You're seriously messed up!" Jessica - Conroe, Texas
-"I love to crank up P... M... on the weekends and piss off my neighbors." Mike - Houston, Texas

Wicked!

This album rocks...and what makes it even better is that it's improvised! That it in itself is reason to add it to your collection. It's fun, it's crazy, it's original, and it messes with your head...what more can you ask for?!

Good stuff, but not long enough
author: Bryan Hill
I love the odd collection on this cd. Very avant garde like a Mike Patton project. The only problem is the cd length. It is way too short! After the cd finishes I want to hear more. I think EPs are a waste of time. If it weren't for the tracks being so cool I would have waited for a full length cd.
