Album Notes

Richard Désilets is a composer that creates universal and accessible new music. Its music reflects the experiences and observations perceived by the musician in his life and the existence of others. It is a journey through contemplative and experimental music. It is a search for inner peace in a world created to achieve spiritual realizations.

Open to the world, Richard's compositions contain sonorities played from multi-ethnic instruments remote as those found in ancient Greece, Africa or Asia. Its works involves sounds of electronic instruments and instrumental orchestral sounds sampled. Eclectic, one recognizes in his compositions the influences of worldbeat, jazz, opera, pop, electronic and contemporary music.

Inspired by the culture of each time and style, it creates some original and surprising music easy to appreciate.

A true theorist of existence. Benoît Robitaille is a poet, composer, free style guitar player and philosopher. We will find in his poetry the foundations of human nature that animate the act of creation, questioning oneself at the same moment. This urge stronger than human mind revealing to itself is explains by his talent at the guitar, making each moment true and unique.  Recently, he had the opportunity to collaborate with the prolific composer Richard Désilets. In the CD "Clips Poétiques" we can hear his voice, his poetry and his guitar.

Benoît Robitaille est poète, compositeur, guitariste improvisateur et philosophe. Véritable théoricien de l'existence, il aime explorer dans sa poésie les fondements de la nature humaine en questionnant l'instant même qui anime l'acte de création. Cette pulsion plus forte que l'Être --- qui le révèle à lui- même --- est exprimée aussi par son jeu guitaristique faisant de ses prestations des moments uniques d'une fraîcheur libérée. Il a collaboré à quelques occasions avec le prolifique compositeur Richard Désilets. Dans le CD "Clips Poétiques on peut entendre sa voix, sa poésie et sa guitare.
