BIO
Originally from the San Francisco Bay area, Richard Green has worked to develop his own style of composition for solo piano. He has also worked as an arranger, orchestrator and studio musician. He has worked on numerous first-run feature films, as well as numerous television and television animation projects. Documentary credits include "Biography" for A&E, the American documentary se r ies "Medical Marvels," and the Canadian documentary series "Sketches of Our Town" (which was nominated for the Golden Sheaf Award as best documentary). His mos t recent work as a composer was for the documentary film "The Red Road," which aired across C an ada this last September.
Richard Green has performed both as a soloist and with a number of well-known groups. He is also known as an accompanist, arranger and music director in the Los Angeles area. Artists that he has performed on stage with include: J ames Intveld, Jerry Donahue, Iron Maiden, Loverboy, Mac Davis, The Music Machine, Charlie Daniels, Charlie Pride, Eddie Raven, Moe Bandy, Doug Kershaw, Ray Camp i, Rosie Flores, Big Brother and the Holding Company, The Seeds, The Strawberry Alarm Cloc k, A rthur Lee and Love, Tommy Sands, Eddie Dean, Red Rhodes, Johnny Fortune and Hank Thompson. He has also performed in groups opening for Willy Nelson, Glen Campbell, The Knack, George Thorogood, Manhattan Transfer, Hank Williams, Jr., Kenny Rankin, Cou nt Basie and Buddy Rich.
