The Messiah is a send up of Handel's classic oratorio but with a 20th century icon as the main character. He's spotted at a seven eleven in New Jersey and appears with his three headed babies in the National Enquire etc.etc. It purports to be a 20th century work discovered in Memphis
Tennesee in the 25th century. Dobbs sings hilariously the four arias Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass with cracked faux Baroque accompaniment on his Double Bass.
"One night he came from heaven" "it had three heads" "To gain our release he became obese" and "He was abducted".
NH Stories is a collection of true stories from the environs of Nelson, NH collected by Dobbs in his years of living there. It ends with the audience joining in a rousing version of the original song "Live Free or Die".
Here's the chorus.
" Live free or die
or know the reason why
It is our fate
and our licence plate
Gawd knows why."
