About the CD...

This CD is a collection of pieces that have become an integral part of my musical makeup. Some since the early nineties and others from 2006.

"Chill" was written as an instrumental experiment into the capabilities of music recording. I play 2 bass tracks as well as 2 guitar tracks on this recording.

"On Top Of the Hill" was written in the nineties and was the piece I played at my own wedding.

"In Flight" was written in 2006 when I should have been packing my suitcase for our family holiday to Canada.

"If I Had Possession" is a Robert Johnson side blues classic, though I adjusted the lyrics for my own comfort.

"On Georgian Bay" was written while holiday-ing next to Georgian Bay, Honey Harbour, Ontario.

"Gas Light Shadows" is a reflection of life changes and life events.

"Malacca" was written while in Malaysia in 1992.

"Waiting" was written in 2006 and is dedicated to my wife, Carmen.

"Day Dreaming" was composed in 2006, while trying to practise quietly so as not to wake the kids.

"Consequences" goes back to the 1990s and is a collection of ideas in my head at that time.

"The Blue Forest" is a cadential piece that I constructed in the early 1990s.


About Me...

I have played guitar for many years now starting in my early twenties. I indulge in a variety of styles of play and have done various bursts of public performances.

I have a habit of performing inpromptu gigs in other countries. To date this list includes Malaysia, Thailand, Guatemala, Peru, Canada, and France.

Back in 1991 I was the regular guitarist at the Sally Lunn Elizabethan Restuarant in St. Albans, Herts.

In 2006, I restarted playing guitar after a 5 year break and started my participation in the East Essex/West Herts folk scene. I am a regular at Waltham Abbey Folk Club and compere the club from time to time.
