Very Cool. Progressive Rock for the new millenium.

Rich Casey’s release, “No Way Out”, immediately put me in mind of the quintessential gothic aura. His music though very rich and melodic, casts many dark and intriguiging shadows. The tunes, especially “Just Another Day” are full of longing and the sometimes futile quest for answers and fulfillment, while the instrumental “Amethyst”, is an exercise in audible light refraction. Outrageously sick drum licks on “Rat’s Ass” and “White Swan (with duck sauce)” by Steve Chaggaris, soaring rich vocals on “Just Another Day” by Gabrielle Agachiko, and Walter Stickle’s sax on “Sometimes and Island” are interesting choices that do make sense.
My personal favorite is “Morpheus Takes a Cat Nap/Nightmare in Istanbul”. Trippy stuff…reminiscent of old school prog rock, yet somehow very different.
Very Cool, though I may be biased.

First I found two CDs in one. Meaning two of the songs tend to fit in a harder prog rock style like Dream Theater or Flower kings and the rest a more relaxed but no way uninteresting Allen Parsons style. A lot of thought in here with many sound, rythum, and style changes. Yes not a Phil Collins every song sounds the same. Each one here has it's own character the synth 12 strings worked very well! The studio mastering is top notch to match the talent of Rich. This is no demo CD. This is a every day player you and your friends will enjoy with it not being an intrusive sound.

Great chill out CD - atomospheric and spacey sounding almost new-age
author: Bob Nolting
it’s really atmospheric and spacey sounding almost new-age in a way. The guitar sound is very Leslie West/Tony Iommi yet the keyboards sound prog rock - cool contrast!
