Celebrating the sense of wonder, and a vast new frontier, this song was inspired by a series of experiences in the field with the “Ambassadors to the Universe” project. (See www.disclosureproject.org) That's Ken DeAngelis on guitar, Mrs. Flanders (Amy Ober) on harp. "Midnight Skies" is also included in the cd, "YONDERING - Songs of the American West," nominated Album of the Year by The Academy of Western Artists, 2008, and winner of The Will Rogers Cowboy Award for Best Song ("Blue Prairie.") A followup cd, "RIDE AWAY," was nominated Album of the Year, Best Traditional Western Album by an Individual, and Best Original Song ("Thirteen Voices") by The Western Music Association, 2010. Both albums are available on CD Baby. Rich's other single on CD Baby, Judy Kellersberger's "Tribute to the Hudson River," was played at the opening of New York's Quadricentennial Celebration in 2009. He will be performing it live at the opening of the Hudson River Pageant in New York City, May 21, 2011.
