Album Notes

Meg Richichi, is a NYC- based singer songwriter. Her first CD, Embrace, is a lyrical blend of acoustic guitar and rhythmic sound. Meg captures the immediacy of love's embrace, with all its uncertainty and illusion. Her heartfelt music is redemptive and real.

Embrace, contains five original songs. The title track tells the story of a woman who is defined by secrecy and contradictions. Split in Two, ponders an inner struggle regarding love and relationships. Yuka Honda formerly of Cibo Mato, adds melodic keyboards to this song. Mary, talks about the illusion of love and letting go. Timo Ellis and Brandt Abner add their unique style to the upbeat groove of Happy Birthday. The final track, When I Close My Eyes, suggests the possibility of manifesting love.

Meg's producer and collaborator, Timo Ellis says, "Meg's music resonates with me because she's able to convey a range of emotions with precision and simplicity. Meg writes great songs, and she's got soul!" Timo Ellis is a multi instrumentalist who's played with Cibo Mato, Sean Lennon, Yoko Ono and currently is rocking with NYC band Morningwood.

Meg's presently working on her second full length CD and can be seen playing NYC's music scene.

Meg is donating proceeds from her CD to the Twin Towers Fund.
