Album Notes

The Rich Lewis Band plays a soulful mix of acoustic R&B, Rock, New Orleans and Motown. Our repertoire includes many of our original songs but also includes songs from just about every musical style.

I have been playing around the Minneapolis area for over 25 years. I was a founding member of the band The Explodo Boys back in the mid 70’s that went on to become band of the year in Minneapolis. I have also played with many other local bands over the years. Our drummer Kory Badertscher played and recorded with the legendary Dave Ray for nearly two decades. He and our bass player Dan Schoenbauer have been together as a rhythm section for over 25 years.

We have always been true to our hearts playing music we love. With our vast song list which includes many original songs, you never know what might be played on any given night. The band will also expand at times to 4 or 5 pieces with the top horn and piano players in town added. These configurations will be listed on the gigs page at http://www.richlewisband.com/gigs.html. Check out our current schedule and hopefully we'll see you at one of our upcoming shows.

Gemstone quality...highly enjoyable!

A super mix of songs, almost all of which are originals of the band. They take you on a roller coaster ride from the fall down funny, "I Like to Eat" to the touching, "I Love Her So". I'm hoping to get to Minnesota to see these guys live. Has become one of my favorite albums as I find myself going back to it time and time again.

A tight band playing variety of styles, from straight ahead rhythm’n’blues, to New Orleans’ sounds and some soul too. With interesting arrangements and catchy songs this is a mix to enjoy!
