Album Notes

The music of Rich O'Reilly is difficult to place in a particular genre under the Singer Song Writer title. It tends to have a classic rock sound yet, weaving in and out of several other genres.

Rich first picked up the bass at the age 13. By the time he was 17, he was playing in the local club scene in the Boston area. He continued to play the New England scene for the next 25 years as a band member and in a freelance bassist’s role.

Through that period, he has had the opportunity to play with many of the top rock, blues and jazz bands in the area. With those bands he has opened for many national acts at clubs such as, The House Of Blues in Cambridge, MA and The Last Call Saloon in Providence, RI. This also opened the door for him to headline at many these clubs.

In 2003, Rich took a break from years of the club scene to pursue his own writing ambitions. During this period, he fine tuned his acoustic guitar playing and set up his home studio.
He has since written, recorded and produced 3 CDs of his own material from this studio. Most recently, Personal Dare has been released.

In addition to writing his own material, Rich still accepts freelance bass work and is involved with a few Jazz acts in the Boston/Providence area.
