Have you ever heard a song and said, “Wow! That’s exactly what I was thinking!”? As we have worked, lived and played in Lakeside for many years, we’ve had countless experiences with our programs, our families and our friends. A couple of years ago we were sitting on Chip’s porch and started kicking around song ideas about Lakeside and the possibility of creating a collection large enough for a CD. The more we talked, the more excited we became! What if you could visit every place in Lakeside? What if these notorious skunks could explain how they were feeling? Does a rainy day in Lakeside mean no fun at all? Do those people fishing on the dock really catch enough for dinner? Are all those bike riders having as much fun as they appear to be having? What would it be like to be ranked #1 in the world in shuffleboard? What’s happening in your car when you’re close to arriving at Lakeside? Would it be remotely possible to sing the blues on a visit here? How cool would it be to have a picnic with 400 people on the shore of Lake Erie? If you’ve ever wondered about any of these questions or you already know the answer, we are sure you’re gonna love these songs! We’ve had an absolute blast collaborating and watching our ideas turn into songs. If this CD makes your car ride seem shorter, gets you cranked up for a family dance contest in your cottage, or reminds you of the amazing time you had at Lakeside with your family, then our efforts were worth it.
