This is my solo album number 14. The songs on this album that are mine, appear here in order that I wrote and recorded them. Also, I have been a long-time Beatles admirer (since childhood in the 60's) and decided to include two covers; Long and Winding Road, and Here Comes the Sun. I have many influences, but the Beatles seem to light the way towards inspiring me to make songs that can be listened to multiple times without too much bother :)
I played all the instruments, sang all the vocals, did all the audio engineering/recording, and mixed/assembled/mastered the album.
I hope you enjoy the music... what else can I say? Thank you very much for stopping by, Rick Cuevas.

Epiph-Excellent!

Rick Cuevas’ new album, “Epiphany” is a thing of balance and beauty. The 9 tracks are for the most part, rockin’ – although there are some softer, quieter moments as well. And as always, his lyrics have a unique tendency to fold back in on themselves, wrapping the listener in a cocoon of wistful warmth.
“Lonelytown” & “Talk to Me/Walk Thru Me” – these are just great, great songs. And in keeping with the honesty and playfulness of this album, “End of Time” is a good old fashion love song! No cynicism, no irony - a sing-a-long for anyone with a pulse.
Cuevas includes two Beatles’ songs on this album, and shows that he deserves to do so. “Long and Winding Road” should never be attempted by the young and pimply-faced. It takes an adult who has seen a thing or two to sing this showstopper. Cuevas proves he’s up to the task. It’s a song that has the potential to sound treacly if sung without understanding. This version is sad and lovely as sung straight up by Cuevas, without any bizarre phrasing or random trills. You sense he connects strongly with the song at its core, that these are not just empty words for him.
And “Here Comes the Sun” is played with unmistakable love and joy - as would make George proud.
Enjoy this album. You will, I know.
