ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I wrote this song out of frustration and hope—frustration with the amount of money the overly-rich are dumping into the presidential campaign, and hope in the power of the people to wade through a swampland of campaign rhetoric and twenty-four hour news channels, Red Foxes & Blue Foxes alike.

Inspired by several of my musical heroes, I imagined a meeting up beyond the Pearly Gates of Blind Alfred Reed, Uncle Dave Macon and Woody Guthrie.

On this recording, which was completed July 4th, 2012, in the swing state of Ohio, I am singing lead and playing the banjo and guitar, while my wife, Sharon Leahy, is singing harmony and playing the guitar, bass and snare drum.

The words to the song are available on our website at www.leahygood.com. Learn it and sing it every chance you get between now and Election Day. Then, go vote.
