ABOUT RICK HARRIS

A native of Louisiana, Rick moved to Atlanta, Ga. and continues to pursue production and songwriting under his company "Lyn-Rome Publishing" which he co-owns with his brother Patrick Harris, a rhythm & blues artist/songwriter in La.

As former member of the band "The Texas Upsetters", led by former saxophone player "Grady Gaines"(from Little Richard's band "The Upsetters"), Rick's experience as lead singer and bass player for the group has helped him tremendously in his solo efforts.

In 2003, Rick was fortunate enough to have a song placed on an album by R&B Soul artist "Rome". The song "Trust In Somebody", co-written by brother Patrick, helped to launch 'Lyn-Rome Publishing' and establish a home for writing and producing.

In 2006, Rick produced an album/EP of 6 songs for younger brother and Southern Soul R&B artist Patrick Harris called "Right On Time", which introduced him to the world of Southern Soul/Blues artists and fans alike. This was a prelude to the explosive album to follow called "Long Time Comin'", which solidified Patrick as a new force to be reckoned with.

Rick has produced a new 2008 post-album/EP remix for Patrick called, appropriately, "The ReMix EP", a 5-song album including two new songs as well as his own 2009 EP entitled "Phunkology".

Lyn-Rome Publishing has also been involved in song placement through a film and tv company and has been successful so far in landing on a few biographies (Robert DeNiro, Chris Farley) and reality shows (Family Foreman, Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane) and it is our hope to continue reaching our goal of music success.
