Hornyak proudly recognizes several Austin musicians on this self-titled EP, each established at the national level. Contributing musicians include Scott Matthews, who has played/toured with The Dixie Chicks, Dale Watson, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and The Derailers, as well as Matt Brooks & Brendon Bigelow, currently playing for Two Hoots & a Holler.

Six years ago, Rick Hornyak decided it was time to leave Fredonia, Pennsylvania, hometown of 27 years, to pursue his passion for music. After quitting his 7-year union job, Hornyak sold his home and took only what fit in his car to Austin, Texas. Home to the annual SXSW (South By Southwest) Festival, the PBS program Austin City Limits, and legends such as Willie Nelson and Stevie Ray Vaughn, Austin attracts aspiring musicians from across the globe. Despite an overcrowded market with musicians such as Patti Griffin, Bob Schneider, and Patrice Pike competing for listeners’ attention, Hornyak’s career continues to progress.
