Rick Kokan is a singer/songwriter, who writes songs about life and love. The songs, Rodeo Boy, Working for an Oldsmobile, and The reason the young folks all get stoned, are an example of the stresses of life and work. The songs, Passing ships, Almost heaven, and Blame it on the moonlight, are examples about finding and losing love. Rick tries in his songs to put together songs that move, with catchy melodies and with an upbeat tempo. He sure does not want you to fall asleep listening to his music. But he does hope to awaken a feeling somewhere deep in your soul. The CD cover is a photo of Rick Kokan as the Rodeo Boy. Rick worked as a YMCA Camp Wrangler in Hubertus Wisconsin when the songs Rodeo Boy, Passing Ships, and Shooting the blues were written. The back cover is at the same location, but a few years later.(actually many years later). The CD was developed by Ted Gallenberger, who performs with Rick as a part of a musical duo, in the Milwaukee Wisconsin area. Ted, (who is pictured in the inside cover on the right) along with his brother Mike and Ron White can be heard on the CD adding their excellent musical talent.
