Singer /songwriter Rick Leather has put together his first album of original music featured here on \"EVERYTHING BUT THE HEART \" . It includes 11 songs written , sung and almost entirely performed by Rick with the addition of Brian Nichol on steel guitar and Rob Walker on fiddle .
Recorded throughout 2007/2008 in White Rock, British Columbia , this collection covers musical ground from traditional country ( Warm Heart ) to a Ray Charles influenced bluesy rocker ( Last Thing I Need ) including one acoustic instrumental ( Alexandra ).
