ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
After years of working with various bands and putting out solo cds, Rick finally seems comfortable in his own skin on this latest project. A tasty blend of rock/folk/Americana/Alt-Country with a side of bluesy swinging pop and a hangover after tequila shots while singing "Sweet Caroline" with a stripper at a blackjack table in Vegas. A serious songwriter who doesn't take himself too seriously. A storyteller in the singer/songwriter vein who happens to rock from time to time.

Recorded almost entirely in his basement, Rick plays most of the instruments himself with some guest appearances by Steven Cram and Brad Taylor, Denver music veterans formerly with the acclaimed band, BLVD.

"I'm incredibly happy with this project. I turned my mind off writing this cd. I said 'screw it, go with it, see what happens" and this was the result. Not to say that the songs aren't thought through, but rather to say that I didn't torture myself saying 'I can't do that' or 'that's not my style'. I guess everything that I write is my style. It felt really good to just let myself do anything."
