About the artist:

Rick Mauti was born on an early morning one late November in Toronto to a small italian family. Ever since he was able to hold objects in his hands, his parents had given him musical instruments to play with. From a very early age, Rick had shown promise in his musical ear ... being able to pick up melodies off the radio and play them back at real time.

From his formative years, his need for musical development became a dominate force in his life. At age 9 he entered into the Ontario Conservatory of Music to take lessons on the accordion. After 9 years of development, Rick had desired to move onto other instruments such as bass guitar, acoustic guitar and saxophone.

In the summer of 1983, Rick had borrowed a friend's keyboard to write some music he had in his head, and has never looked back since.

Reflections (c)2008 is a personal celebration for 25 years of written work. Being a self-taught composer, Rick had always used music as an expression of himself. Transforming deep-seeded emotion into an audible energy was one of his main goals ... and in this album ... his soul speaks through loud and clear.
