With superbly smooth tone and soulful playing style, Rick has taken music fans of all genres by surprise. With a passion for Jazz, Funk, R&B, Rock, Latin & blues, and he blends them beautifully in one song after another that captivates all audiences. Rick has been performing all over Chicago for the past 15 years and since January of 2009 when he moved to Southern California he has taken the west coast by surprise. Rick has been performing every Sunday morning since February 2009 with the band DW3 at the world famous Spaghettini for the 94.7 Sunday Brunch. Venues and events such as Newport Beach Jazz Fest, Spaghettini, the Baked Potato, Aura, Cozy’s, Kyoto Grand Hotel, The Whiskey A Go Go have all experienced Ricks Passion for music and showmanship. Rick has performed with such groups as Heat Wave, Stanley Jordan, Greg Adams, Warren Hill, Richard Elliot, Brian Culbertson, Euge Groove, DW3, Steve Oliver, and many more and most recently got to perform with David Pack and Alan Parsons.
Rick’s solo performances at small venues and private functions are quickly becoming a hit in and around LA. From Stevie Wonder and Simply Red to Maroon 5 and Eric Clapton, Rick’s sax and voice ring out beautifully. Voice!? Yep that’s right, Rick can also sing. And what’s so beautiful is that the same soulfulness you hear from his sax is the same from his voice, proving that his love for music is pure.
