Temporary World by the Rick Ray Band on Neurosis Records
Featuring the phenomenal vocal cords of Chuck Abraham, the powerful bass work of Jack Ambrose, the jazz interludes and classical reed work of Rick Schultz, the very fluid intense drumming of Sam 'P. J.' Glorioso, the vertical hairfactor guitar and keyboard playing of Frank Pellino, formerly with the excellent progressive rock band,'I Don't Care' on Buddha Records back in the mid 70's. Rounding out the bill is Rick Ray on guitar, keys and vocals. This being release #28 by Rick, since 1999 either solo, with Riot Act, re-releases of his earlier work with Neurotic or the present Rick Ray Band, this is by far the best release yet on Neurosis Records. The best band Rick has gathered together yet. Live or in the studio. With writing contributions from every band member, this is the most unique recording to be released by
Neurosis Records

Flavorful !
author: Laura T Lynch of Kweevak.com
Rick has assembled an energized line up for Temporary World, his latest twelve-track CD. Since all six members of the band contributed to the album, the songs vary in structure and style. The Rick Ray Band incorporates an array of genres into this album, which can range from acoustic to intense. Hard rock is the strongest ingredient on the CD but it is also flavored with jam, jazz-fusion and progressive. 'Until The End' opens with wild sound effects flowing into deep dark bass and guitar lines that move up and down the scale. Midway the song melds more elements into the mix with innovative keyboards and stirring vocals. 'Rumor Clinic' packs a powerful punch with multilayered instrumentation including reeds and soaring vocals. The two opening tracks set a strong tone for the rest of the stirring set. The Rick Ray Band are passionate, professional players and Temporary World is diverse and divine!

Excellent band
author: Robb Howell
A consumate guitarist who can play ANYTHING, Rick Ray delivers probably his best, most dynamic album to date - and there are a few! Rick Ray has a long & acclaimed career playing dates with major acts like Pat Travers, Steve Morse & Robin Trower, and commensurately delivering album after album showcasing his amazing playing. This band is so different than the rest of the pack, with elements of fusion meshed with hard rock & blues - you can't miss with this band. I seriously & highly recommend getting the record. It wails.
On a side note, the fantastic vocals of Chuck Abraham document his talent and great friendship with Rick, as well as the rest of the band, and I know it is with great consideration & respect Rick Ray offers up this record commercially, as a testament in honor of his friend.
