Album Notes

The Band:
The Riff Tiffs was formed three years ago, when brothers Curran and Chris Rehm (guitars) teamed up with friends Sean Hart (drums) and Althea Topek (bass). The Quartet has been writing original music (3 years) that has been described as melodic, progressive, experimental rock. The group writes emotionally charged songs that mix relaxed, ambient sounds with fast, aggressive rock n’ roll. The Riff Tiffs currently play shows around the Houston area, and has recently released their first full length LP. (Recorded at Sugar Hill studios in December ’05 and released February 10, 2006). Gaining local recognition from fans, The Riff Tiffs are always experimenting with new sounds and techniques that inspires and effects the audience in a positive way. They are consistently writing new and distinct material.
Influences: Radiohead, Sonic Youth, Bright Eyes, and a slue of classic rock.

I have heard this band in the courtyard at school and 2 years in a row at my friends pool party. I love the reggae song that they play but unfortuantly it is not on this cd. This CD is still great! The band is also pretty cool. Just because they are in high school does not mean that they suck. They are pretty good and I think that everyone should listen to this cd.
