"Rich on moody, minor-chord guitar progressions and doleful yet emphatic vocal delivery" RAVE MAGAZINE. The Riflebirds is a collective from Melbourne, Australia. The Riflebirds is an attempt to mix Tom Waits ballads, low key Americana, obscure slow-core German jazz and English Doom Metal in a one person orchestrated vanity project. The Riflebirds EP (Lofly Records) was recorded by Todd Dixon (The Rational Academy) and produced by Andrew White (Restream, Mr Maps) in 2008. Influences include bloody mindedness, coffee, frustration, coffee, overthought and long walks in the country.
