notes
Welcome to the newest addition to the Rikks Revues family. Rikks Rekkords is not so much an independent record label as it is an attempt to bring some of the noteworthy Indie music that has been reviewed at Rikks Revues. Over 125 artists/bands expressed interest in being included on the very first Rikks Rekkords compilation entitled "Rikks Pikks volume one". The boundary smashing new CD is now available and ready for shipment.
Squeezing 125 tunes into one CD was not possible, so I enlisted the help of some true music lovers that had not heard of any of the artists before to be a "Focus Group" , they voted and the final results are a Compilation Rikks Rekkords is honored to put out. The artists range in sound and style from true country to Straight forward Rock n' Roll. This is a first installation into what I hope will become a regular project to try and help artists get recognized on a broader scale.
All Artists that are featured on this or upcoming compilations have been reviewed by Rikks Revues first, and not be associated with a major record label. I know you are thinking there are a lot of compilations out there, but I truly feel this comp. is an honest representation of some very noteworthy Indie Music. The other factor here is that a lot of the compilations offered to artists in the music world want the artists to PAY to be on their CD. Rikks Rekkords is taking an altogether different approach, not only is Rikks Rekkords going to PAY THE ARTISTS for each copy that will be sold as well as giving a share of the profits to the Children's Wish Foundation.
Help out starving artists and a Favorite charity all at once! From the roots country sound of Kate Campbell (Nashville) and Gregg Gorman (Texas). The Texas country sounds of Luke Olson and Aaron Watson. Incredible modern country sound of Billy Hurst (Nashville), accoustic music from Thomas Patrick (Connecticut) and Cesca (The Big Apple)! Hey the Rock is here with the up-tempo rock and roll of Crimson Rain (Ohio), roots-rock sound of The Dharma Bomb (Florida) and modern rock from the hreat white North of Canada with Ariel's Worm!
Each song on this disc is an original and tremendous sound quality. Rikks Revues and Rikks Rekkords is happy and honored to have twelve of the top Indie sounds of 2003 all on one incredible compilation. A great sampler of Indie music for your ears, and fourteen of the most incredible artists and bands around today to bring it to you! This is a no-brainer, don't miss out, and I will see you on volume 2! - If ya like it, don't forget to add your comments below!! Let's pass on the true feel of indie music to our friends, spread the word!

Wicked Stuff!!!
author: JacquinJust wanted to say a friend in Arizona turned me onto this collection, ansd although it is eclectic to the max, the songs will cross music styles. Great stuff, Love Billy Hurst, Gregg Gorman and Ariel's Worm! The Rest is wicked too.
You Got To Love Dean!!!
author: Dean Strickland FANRonald Dean Strickland and Alan Norsworthy smash our property, in public, in front of hundreds of witnesses, and not yet charged. They grafitti all around our house, and all over town, and stalk us for months, and are still not charged. And finally Ronald breaks into our house in the middle of the night, and tries to kill us. . . and he gets off with just probation?!

author: Gina Marie"I've Learned" by Dean Strickland makes this CD a true mix of real independent artists. Dean's songwriting won him an award at the 2004 Rock City Awards Show in Hollywood. He disqualified his band Victims of the Carousel though when he and Rocket smashed the tropies and the stage. I highly recomend buying this CD.

FANTASTIC!!!
