A Rio de Janeiro hippie sold me an impossible to play flute. In the company of many other exotic instruments, piano, and some frogs and birds, it helped me created my tranquil, yet quirky relaxing solo CD AQUA.

Album Notes

I am a jazz musician. This CD is not jazz, but rather my creative outlet for doing something about all the little funny instruments I have collected from all over the world.
The overtone edge flute 'Seljefløyte' and the Jaw Harp from Norway, Kalimba and Udu clay drum from West Africa, Berimbau, Samba Whistle, Ocarina, and Hippie Flute from Brazil, and Melodica, Piano, Synthesizer, and trumpet from Western music. Upstate New York birds and frogs join in on a couple cuts. I try to let them all tell their unique story, which means there's a great variety of different flavors, but with most of it leaning towards meditative New Age music.
My childhood in Norway, my jazz background, and my curious nature spices it all up enough that your ears won't grow moss while listening.
