Album Notes

Ripe's recipe for Temptation
Take one ex-Catholic school-girl
Add two military brats.

Let them simmer for a while in a recording studio with a steady temp of 72 degrees.

In the meantime:

Take one seasoned Israeli-born musician. Make sure he was garnished, glazed, broiled, roasted and sautéed with Classical, Jazz, Club, Middle Eastern, Rock, Pop, and Techno flavors, powders and extracts.

Add to the mix:

One hell of an engineer
A great guitar player

Bake everything together for three to six months.

For the musician in you:

Temptation is formed from layering Middle Eastern flavored club/house beats with vocals that use all the forbidden intervals in the book, such as perfect fourths and fifths in parallel motion, tritons and seconds. Textures are accentuated with some amazing drum loops from Reason software and original sound loops.

On top of the massive sound carpet, live instruments are sprinkled: classical guitar and percussion. The overall effect is like working out in a room with mirrors on all four walls-you can see yourself into infinity while you sweat...

Listen and tell us it is not so and lead us not into Temptation.

About RIPE-Temptation is a wonderful side project by the 7 piece progressive pop/rock band RIPE. RIPE's live music is a little different...more like Vanessa Carlton meets Dave Matthews, with a little Sugar Ray for texture and taste.
